XMAS

I hope everyone had a great and safe Christmas. We enjoyed ours. Aspen was so excited. Watching her takes me back to when I was a kid. Christmas is different now. It's better. Having a family to share these moments with is awesome. I care more about watching my wife a daughter open their presents. It's nice getting gifts and I really appreciate it, because not everyone is as lucky, but watching them is my present. I love Christmas. It's not the presents I look forward to. It's our Christmas eve dinner. Some crab, shrimp, and crab cakes. It's magical. Throw on some Christmas music and play with Aspen or set the table. It's great.

Here in Billings there is a helicopter pilot that flies around with a Santa slay and reindeer attached. It's fun to watch out for Santa with Aspen.

It makes me want to go back in time when my sister and I would turn off all of the lights except for the Christmas tree and just twirl around as fast as we could.

Again I hope everyone had a great Christmas and a safe New Year.

Crazy summer

It's been a busy summer. Jen's sister Jazz came to stay with us while she is on summer break from Carrol College. It has been great having her and it's gonna be real sad when she leaves. Aspen totally adores her.

We also finally put in a yard. It has been almost three years in the works but we finally did it. Thank you for everyone that helped. We got a sprinkler system and redid the retaining wall for the garden. It looks so nice. What a relief. I don't know who enjoys it more Aspen, or Duncan and Casey.

Besides that we have been busy working and swimming. It is great.

Looking forward it's gonna be busy. First part of September we are going to Salt Lake to see my cousin Matt get married. Who knew?? But we are so excited to head down there and see family. It's gonna be awesome. Can't wait. We will see Joe's family for a week then head back through Wyoming to spend a few days with Jen's family. They will be tickled to see how much Aspen has grown.

After that Joe is heading to Las Vegas for a conference. It's for work. He is the admin for a product call VMWare. The conference is called VMWorld and is huge. Some 10,000 users from around the world.

Also during that week Aspen starts dance lessons. She couldn't be more excited. She will dance at Rainbow Dance studios. She will learn tap and ballet. She already tells us she's not a princess anymore but a ballerina.

And after that we have a much anticipated get together. Most of Joe's friends are getting together for a reunion. It will be a blast.
